The UKAEA Strategic Business Plan 2026 to 2029 sets out how we will deliver the next phase of fusion research, technology development and innovation in support of a growing UK fusion sector.
The plan translates UKAEA’s strategy 2026 to 2030 into concrete delivery commitments over the near-term, outlining UKAEA’s priorities for the next three years and describing in detail the objectives for 2026 to 2027.
We will renew the Strategic Business Plan annually, providing a rolling three-year horizon of objectives against which to measure progress. Together with the corporate performance measures, which set and measure specific priorities for the year, the plan will support business planning across UKAEA, ensure consistent alignment with the strategy, and provide an overview of the organisation’s short-term objectives and goals.
