SPECTRA-UF
A suite of spectrum unfolding algorithms as a Python API, including pre and post-processing utilities to automate the analysis and visualisation of data sets.
Overview
SPECTRA-UF is a Python package containing a range of unified unfolding algorithms typically used in neutron spectrometry analysis, along with a Monte Carlo error propagation method. The package is an API, with pre and post-processing utilities, which allow the automated application of a range of algorithms.
Who it’s for
SPECTRA-UF is developed for both UKAEA and the wider neutronics and dosimetry community. It allows well established mathematical methods to be applied using a modern API.
Software details
SPECTRA-UF is Python package which contains a range of commonly used unfolding algorithms. These include:
- iterative non-linear least squares methods based on GRAVEL
- an entropy method based on the MAXED codes
- a parametric unfolding method
The package also contains regularisation methods to allow the user to constrain solution spectra.
The package is an API which allows the pre and post-processing of data and the application of error propagation via Monte Carlo error propagation.
