Developing a National Policy Statement for fusion energy infrastructure aligns fusion with other energy generating technologies by streamlining and centralising decision-making on planning proposals.
DESNZ is keen to receive views on whether the draft EN-8 is suitable for all envisioned fusion energy infrastructure and appropriately sets out how planning applications for such infrastructure should be determined.
The consultation closes at 11:59pm on 17 August 2026.
