Welcome to Forces to Fusion!

The UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) runs the UK’s national fusion energy research programme, sponsored by the UK Government’s Department for Energy Security & Net Zero. We’re proud to be a diverse and inclusive employer, offering opportunities to people from all backgrounds. Help us fuel the future by delivering safe, sustainable, low-carbon energy to the national grid.

An additional workforce of 2,000-3,000 personnel is necessary to support fusion energy by 2030, with continued growth up to 2035 and beyond. The UKAEA and the UK Fusion Skills Council is looking to the skills and expertise of Armed Forces leavers to contribute to the fusion sector.
