DESCRIPTION:UKAEA’s is hosting it’s annual SME showcase event\, taking place on Wednesday 30 September at our Culham Campus! \n\n\n\nWhat the event includes\n\n\n\n\nExhibition booths hosted by SMEs and Tier 1 suppliers\, as well as UKAEA and UKFE.\n\n\n\nA day focused on engagement and networking\, with workshops and activities throughout.\n\n\n\nDirect access to UKAEA Commercial and technical representatives through our Fusion 1-2-1s.\n\n\n\nOpportunities to connect with delegates from SMEs\, large organisations\, and industry leaders involved in the fusion sector and related technologies.\n\n\n\n\nWho should register\n\n\n\nThis event is open to organisations keen to connect with innovative suppliers\, giving you the opportunity to engage directly with those shaping the future of fusion.  \n\n\n\nWhether you are representing large organisations or SMEs whose capabilities align with the fusion energy sector and related technologies\, we encourage you to register and take part. \n\n\n\nThere is a maximum of two tickets per organisation. \n\n\n\nTicket options and key dates\n\n\n\nThis event is in person format only. \n\n\n\n\nSuppliers in-person ticket. You can book this ticket until 3 September. Places are limited due to event capacity\, so early booking is recommended. This ticket includes: access to exhibition booths\, lunch and the workshops.\n\n\n\nFusion 1-2-1s ticket. You can book this ticket until 3 September. This ticket is only valid along with a confirmed Suppliers in-person ticket. This option gives you access to have a short 10 minute conversation with the given UKAEA or external representative. Please note: these tickets are limited to only one 1-2-1 session per company\, therefore we will be reviewing and moderating registrations received.\n\n\n\nUKAEA ticket. SUMMARY:UKAEA Exhaust Code Workshop 2026
DESCRIPTION:The UKAEA Exhaust Code Workshop (ECW) is a space where both developers and users of exhaust-relevant codes can share progress that might not normally make it to a conference talk or a paper: implementation details\, challenges\, half-started (but interesting) ideas\, what didn’t work and what worked well. \n\n\n\nBuilding on the huge success of the Hermes-3 workshop in 2024 and its 2025 edition under the ECW name\, we are now making the workshop fully open and inviting broader contributions. We will still give updates on our projects\, including Hermes-3 and the GPU kinetic neutral model VANTAGE. \n\n\n\nECW2026 is a free event. Lunch will be provided.  \n\n\n\nThere will be a conference dinner – the pre-payment page will open nearer to the event.  \n\n\n\nWho can attend?\n\n\n\nECW is open to anyone involved in or interested in tokamak exhaust code development. We want to create an open\, informal and welcoming atmosphere where there are no stupid questions or stupid answers – non-experts and early-stage students are very welcome!All external visitors must bring valid photo ID\, such as a driving licence or passport. \n\n\n\nFormat\n\n\n\nWe have four focus topics this year: mean-field\, turbulence\, kinetic neutrals and research software engineering. \n\n\n\nThe program will include: \n\n\n\n\nKeynote talks from world-leading experts (30 minutes and 10 minutes questions)\n\n\n\nModerated panel discussions\n\n\n\nContributed talks (15 minutes and 5 minutes questions)\n\n\n\nLightning talks with posters (2 slides in 4 minutes and A0 poster)\n\n\n\n\nThe event will be hybrid apart from the poster session\, but we encourage you to come in person – the most useful discussions often happen over a coffee or over a beer in the evening. \n\n\n\nEvent details\n\n\n\nDates\n\n\n\n\n\nLocation

SUMMARY:Third Visualizing Offline and Live Data with AI (VOLDA) workshop - 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Third Visualizing Offline and Live Data with AI (VOLDA) workshop will take place at The Cosener’s House\, Abingdon\, United Kingdom. The UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) organises the workshop. \n\n\n\nVOLDA brings together the fusion community to explore advanced scientific visualisation\, digital twin environments\, and interactive data interpretation workflows\, alongside artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques that support insight generation from complex fusion experiments and simulations. \n\n\n\nOver 3 days\, the workshop will focus on practical experience\, lessons learned\, and innovative approaches for visualising\, analysing\, and interacting with large-scale fusion data from offline simulation outputs to live experimental streams. \n\n\n\nThe programme will include invited and contributed presentations\, structured discussions\, and opportunities for collaboration across research organisations and industry. \n\n\n\nAbstract submission\n\n\n\nWe invite authors to submit abstracts aligned with the conference topics of the Third Visualizing Offline and Live Data with AI (VOLDA) Workshop – 2026.  \n\n\n\nWe also welcome non-presenting participants to register and attend the workshop. \n\n\n\nAll submissions must come through the online submission system.  The programme committee will review submissions for relevance and scientific quality.  \n\n\n\nThe workshop offers two contribution categories: \n\n\n\n\nContributed Presentation – accepted submissions will be oral presentations within the technical programme.\n\n\n\nDiscussion Contributions – accepted submissions will be structured interactive sessions and roundtable discussions.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration\n\n\n\nWe will notify applicants of the outcome. Once an abstract is accepted\, we will invite presenting authors and discussion participants to complete the registration process.  We will provide instructions to accepted participants. \n\n\n\nParticipation is moderated\, and places are limited due to room capacity. \n\n\n\nWho can attend\n\n\n\nThe workshop is intended for researchers\, designers\, engineers\, and developers working in scientific visualisation\, fusion data interpretation\, digital twins\, interactive diagnostic systems\, real-time data platforms\, and AI and ML applications supporting insight generation in fusion research. \n\n\n\nWe particularly welcome participants developing or applying advanced visualisation workflows\, immersive and XR tools\, and interactive systems for exploring complex experimental and simulation data. \n\n\n\nDue to high demand and limited availability\, please register only if you are confident you can attend. \n\n\n\nKey dates\n\n\n\n\nWorkshop dates: 27 to 29 October 2026\n\n\n\nAbstract submission deadline: 18 September 2026\n\n\n\nNotification of Acceptance: 25 September 2026\n\n\n\n\nNote: We may close submissions early if capacity is reached. \n\n\n\n\n\nVisas and Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA)\n\n\n\nCheck if you need a visa or ETA on the UK government website.
